Step 1: Elimination/Replacement

Step 2: Calculate Macros

Step 3: Time Nutrients Just Right

Elimination/Replacement

What good does following macros or timing nutrients do if you are eating junk? The IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros) Movement is a belief that believes that as long as you hit your protein, carbohydrate, and fat goals, it doesn't matter what foods you eat. You can eat Ice Cream, Sugar, cookies, and junk. Although this may work for some, in our opinion it does not lead to overall health, which is the basis of all of our systems and programs. This is why the first step of our nutrition system is eliminating junk foods from the diet and replacing them with whole, nutrition foods to ensure you are hitting your micronutrient needs.

Macronutrient Profile

In step 2 of our nutrition system, we give you a macronutrient profile of recommended proteins, carbs, and fats based on your physical characteristics. This method is far superior to counting calories, as you could just drink pure sugar and hit a calorie goal, but macronutrient goals provide much more specificity. Also, most people don't eat enough protein while eating too much fat and sugar. By giving you specific macros to follow, this ensures you are eating the proper amount of each.

Nutrient Timing

Based on your lifestyle and comfort, the timing of your food can be very important. For example, someone who works all day with a manual labor job will have a hard time fitting in 6-8 meals a day. For this person, we may recommend something like intermittent fasting with small snacks during the day and larger meals later in the day in order to best fit in the macronutrients to your lifestyle.
There is no magic diet out there. The best diet is the one you can stick to.
